Introducing the Sandbox Project

This module is designed to help you bring Indigenous Perspectives into  your teaching practice and broader community.  You are invited to actively engage with the values and protocols of a 60,000 year-old culture which underpin connection with Country, time, people and learning.

This module is designed to deepen your understanding of how Trauma-Aware Practice looks, sounds and feels.  It encompasses exploration of what trauma is, understanding its impacts, regulation, fostering connection, research findings from a neuroscience perspective, and self-care techniques.

This module is designed to help you build or extend Nature Play within your teaching practice.  It explores the benefits of outdoor play for young children, managing risks, creating a safe learning environment, and incorporating engagement with outdoors into everyday educational practice.
